Being a list nut I've set myself the ridiculous task to read all the books on Peter Boxall's 1001 Books You Must read Before You Die. I do know that this is a futile endeavour as a lot of the books I'd never be interested to start with and also due to lack of actual lifespan.
Judging by things like work, friends, family and other things the chances of me actually getting through them all before I myself start to biologically decay is very small. I mean can you actually imagine trying to get through it all in your life? It'd be impossible! You'd be their own you death bed with your withered fingers desperately trying to turn the pages of The Scarlet Letter or some other shit.
But anyway. Here's the list:
1. 2001: A Space Odyssey
2. A Clockwork Orange
3. Brave New World
4. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
5. The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
6. Lord of the Flies
8. Of Mice and Men
9. The Hobbit
10. The Great Gatsby
